Current Vacancy: Studio Assistant (Part-Time, Growth Opportunity)
Pay: £15–£25 per hour (depending on experience and skills)
Hours: Around 30 hours per month to start (flexible, includes evenings/weekends)
Location: Worthing, West Sussex
The Role
We’re looking for a Studio Assistant with experience running live multi-camera productions on a Blackmagic ATEM (or similar live switcher). This is the core of the role. Please don’t apply if you don’t have this experience or knowledge.
You’ll help set up and operate cameras, audio, and lighting, manage live switching on the ATEM, and ensure smooth client sessions.
For the right candidate, there are opportunities to expand into editing, content creation, and even helping shape new studio shows and creative projects.
This isn’t just a support role, it’s a chance to grow with the studio, take on responsibility, and play a key part in where Synergy goes next.
Responsibilities
Operating the Blackmagic ATEM during live and multi-camera productions
Setting up and running cameras, audio, and lighting for shoots
Troubleshooting technical issues under pressure
Supporting clients in the studio and ensuring a smooth, professional experience
Managing setup, pack down, and keeping equipment/studio organised
(Optional) Editing podcasts, YouTube content, and social clips
(Optional) Helping create assets and content for new studio projects
(Future) Leading shoots independently and managing projects
Skills & Experience
Required:
Clear understanding of how a Blackmagic ATEM (or similar live switcher) works in live video production
Confidence with cameras, audio, and production workflows
Problem-solving ability in live or high-pressure environments
Professional, client-facing communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Desirable:
Experience with a Blackmagic ATEM (or similar live switcher)
Editing skills (Premiere Pro, DaVinci, etc.)
Experience with podcasting, YouTube, or live streaming
Graphic design or social media content creation (thumbnails, overlays, reels, etc.)
Strong organisational habits and initiative
